Owen saw MC die A LOT so he created a chip to implant into MC to prevent MC from dying (from anger/heart attacks/etc),
the MC just finished his procedure and tan owen was over seeing everything since og Owen was frozen (Owen was frozen coz he was scared he would be too emotional to do anything if something went wrong, thats why the military dude, aka works-well-under-pressure guy, aka tan Owen, was put in charge for a bit) BUT since the procedure was done og Owen was automatically unfrozen
They have done this procedure before in different timelines but MC usually dies from an unexpected accident (ex run over by a car, something the chip cant prevent) BUT in one timeline, BECAUSE the chip has the history of previous timelines, the MC in that timeline either hated Owen or feared him (hasn't specified yet) since the MC lowkey would die due to Owen's intervention of MC life
Right now Owen is MAD at tan Owen since he was there to comfort, aka hes jealous again (slim chance Owen is mad tan owen let the procedure happen too, instead of canceling it)
