the one major rumor people kept spreading was that Hanse said this story wouldn't have SA or rape in it when in fact she never once mentioned that but some how people just kept rolling with it and now they're mad cuz the story does have SA and rape in it. plus people keep comparing the story to Red Candy despite it being different all together

Thank you for replying. Ohhh I see. I was wondering where that info came from. I read Red Candy such long ago and well, it has some questionable moments but nothing like this. It's a whole different kind of vibe with a character like Enzo, like he teared off a guy tongue in the beginning! so it's 'understandable' why the author include a scene with SA and rape. I felt like the author's making clear that this character is nothing like she's created before, he's a work in progress but we will get there eventually.

np! and yeah I honestly don't know where or when that original rumor started but it's baseless with no actual proof but people still bring it up despite it not being true. also I agree Red Candy did have some questionable parts here and there but Bad Apple is definitely nothing like Hanse's other story that's for sure. Plus Hanse has been pretty transparent about the stories direction in terms of plot and characters so we already knew it wasn't gonna be some wholesome and sunshine story, I do agree with other people that you can make an insane, crazy character without turning them into a rapist but the story just started so people should either stay to see how the plot plays out or just drop reading it and stop complaining. Regardless of how the last few chapters have gone people at this point are either gonna like the story or they're not.

I don't follow authors on their social media, and I judge the story on their own. Just like how you don't need to know about the novelist before reading the novel.

I just knew that something like this gonna happen. From the very first, it was made clear how Lorenzo's character gonna be like. So when it actually happened, it didn't come as a surprise to me at all.

You're welcome, and yeah in terms for that I understand theres alot of people who dont follow authors on social media so sometimes word of mouth (or in this case the comment section) is the only way people are up to date with things, which isn't always the greatest since theres the truth and then theres rumors. I do agree tho with how the chapters have played out so far and the feel we get from the characters I think most people should have expected the more toxic side of the story expecially for Enzo since he's been a Red flag (borderline black flag) since the start. But also I think its fine for people to be disappointed but its not okay for people to be rude about it yknow. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
