I don't see what's the problem at all with the age gap.

Being 22 is barely being an adult; it’s just that, in the eyes of the laws we created, it doesn’t look appropriate, and while I understand why the majority see it that way, for me that’s just bullshit in this case.

If people can’t get past the age, then they aren’t really paying attention to the story.

They’ve lived through experiences that forced them to grow up faster than most, which means their emotional maturity doesn’t match the stereotype of their ages.

And for the kidnapping? That wasn't even his idea, he was a kid following orders from a gangster (I think). It just looks like his fault because he is the one who had to make contact with the kid, and he owns that shit and apologize multiple times like it was all on just him.
