I don't see it as redemption tbh. More like, the psycho ML has become even more delulu, and the MC has become so broken that he becomes delulu too, and trauma bonded to the ML. Delulu MC has mistaken it for love, and delulu ML is ecstatic, truly thinking the love is reciprocal.
I can't believe they went down this route. I still can't wrap my head at the fact that we could have had a dark ending (mindbreak) or bittersweet ending (Wooyeon gets scarred for life but is away from Woojing) or a kinda happy ending (Wooyeon getting revenge or Woojin dying), like anythingggg could have done it except for this halfbaked "love" story. Woojin didn't love Wooyeon. He did it out of revenge for Wooyeon's shitty behavior. Yeah he became possessive but it made sense because he was already fucked in the head. But what is with the badly done "redemption" arc that was hardly any redemption? And you are telling me that there are more side stories coming?? Lord save me (knowing damn well I will sit and read and get mad).
