Continued reading till chapter 9 and started laughing at all the touching moments, bc seriously entire family dead and another male lead option and we got the classic no female friends trope and the 'new owners bullying' trope and when he was done patching up the flat he sat on her lap??? The last thing was what got me really going bc why is this big man on her lap, hugging her LMAO
The way fl's family's downfall was literally a single sentence was so insane. And then the 10 yr time skip?? A d the way the guy was all like "ohhh rumor has it he's a master in disguise" only to cut to the most obviously woman-disguised-as-a-man ive seen in my life

Also, love the random rasicm for the plot, just to make a guy appear even more evil (but it's always rasicm via hair, never thru skin bc that would be a step too afr, wouldn't it, to implicate that darker means evil in ur fantasy romance story, too close to real history and the way ppl with darker skin have always and continue to be villiaised). Cannot blame the Prince for being an evil lil psycho even as a kid tho, id be insane too if my step mother kept trying to kill me
