I think people expected more from Eunhyuk and him leaving Soo-ae was so out of character. We haven’t even gotten the full story of what happened but people are already quick to jump on the hate train despite how good his character had been, which doesn’t seem fair.
Meanwhile Jiho always had his issues and tendencies, which Yunjun knew and still accepted him for it. He was always a complex character from the start that despite people wanting him to do better, there was never a guarantee.
What I’m trying to say is Eunhyuk has always been good and Jiho was not. This adds to the severity of their characters when they make a mistake. It’s expected of Jiho but with Eunhyuk, it’s not.
I don’t think it’s about their sexual orientation, rather it’s their identity as a person.
Still, I hope Eunhyuk has a very good and valid reason for ghosting Soo-ae. 10 years after all, is no joke!

Jiho is very similar to eunhyuk from pure love operation. they both ghosted their lovers due to mental health/horrible parents type issues. Jiho slept with someone else, and drinks a lot meanwhile eunhuk didn't (I think) but for eunkyuk gets so much hate.. I wonder if jiho gets a lot of empathy and understanding from readers because he's an uke vs in a straight version, jiho might not get so much empathy if yunjun was a girl who had to take back guy who has a lot of issues and baggage and has hurt her
