These updates were so fascinating. It was unfortunate that the old man's family wasn't alive anymore and the machine failed. I think Lu was so happy to finally experience what it was like to have someone by his side he could spend time with. It's sad the old man decided to go back but I understand his reasoning. When Lu had that dream of Bruno and his family, I imagine that could be a sign the old man somehow passed in the cold sleep pod due to lack of oxygen. He probably turned the mechanism that powered it off. Or the pod stopped working like Lu warned about. That dream was probably the world gently letting Lu know that the old man is back with his family, spiritually at least.

Now onto Claude. He definitely is supernatural from what we've seen. He's even said he's very powerful. He even briefly mentioned only being able to make a cup full of water float, something he can only do after his magic was exhausted.

If I were to guess, he did something long ago that not only depleted his magic but also upset the shadow figures that we see pestering him. They cannot kill him and he cannot seem to kill himself judging by the page where he stabbed himself. I wonder if he chooses to sleep so much due to exhaustion from little magic or perhaps it's his way of "escaping" the shadow figures and this life. It was heartbreaking that he tried to end his life without hesitation. I would guess he's tried hundreds of times only to get the same results.

He says he doesn't remember his life, assuming he's telling the truth, maybe he outlived his kind. Or maybe there was some type of war that he survived. Perhaps that's why the humans were using the cold sleep device.

When Lu, the young boy told Claudd that he's glad he didn't die in the cold sleep pod, he responded in an omnious way. He said "we'll see about that". He's probably is referring to how maddening living forever can be, as he was probably alone for a long time before the young boy woke.

Lastly, I'm super curious about that bit in Lu's dream where Bruno said "somewhere, somehow- let's meet again one day". It was both beautiful and heart wrenching. I think the old man saw his son in Lu's appearance which made him grow a soft spot for him. Hopefully Lu finds a nice family of his own. It's so sad he can't remember his past.
