Lmao you fell asleep half way through reading or smth?? Taesun asked the snake guy to stay with him. The mountain is being turnt in a golf course anyways. It was the ML grandpa that was dying and the snake guy had gave him some his power that weakened him. Snake guys power was keeping grandpa alive . Grandpa said he was ready to go and ML accepted it and then grandpa died and snake guys power got back his power

ML was getting weak because he was preventing the grandpa from passing away. Once the grandpa passed away, ML was doing good again after some rest to recover.
About the mountain, I think ML said it'd be fine without him or smth, I don't remember the details
I thought I remembered from the beginning that ML thought he was passing away anyways and having kids was like.. his last act supposedly

Yes ML was dying even before the grandpa thing. Taesun saved him (gave him water) and that's why Geu was looking to have kids (to protect the mountain after he died)
The mountain (for now) is still there but it is hinted at being destroyed at some point, we just dont see that. It seems the actual god of the mountain (?) Told Geu to live his life how he wants (fox guy also says he doesnt have to stay on the mountain)
The shaman/villain appears for like 2 chapters before getting yeeted which makes me wonder if this story was supposed to be longer.
Im assuming not expending energy protecting the mountain is why Geu isnt dying anymore overall. Story still peak af tho
