I may just not like Cass but..

Why is his father more developed then him??? Like really, we only get this "god's wrath" explanation at the end, and it was to introduce father, who got a motive and a new story ahead of him, unlike Cass whose character is a a piece of wood, with no story hooks, which could've been fixed in a way now that we know of his background info
The author just needed to throw in some scenes where he *says* to mc that he's unable to feel emotions, to give him something
THIS COULD'VE BEEN A PLOTLINE B, SINCE AUTHOR ALREADY DECIDED TO MAKE HIM THE ML but nooo, we only get to see anything remotely interesting (and plot relevant! It's info about the primordial god! Interesting stuff!) after the end of the story, after far too long of him being the ml without having anything going for him
And the whole weird send that made choose your own adventure ending (especially the "wdym branching.paths? I already love Cass!") Makes me think that the author saw that the people didn't like Cass so they awkwardly put it in, this might be just me tho

Anyway can't wait for my priest babygirl
