. Finally found this again and decided to finish it, what is it with authors making adult men have feelings for their "adopted" children (I'm staring at you usagi drop. Also "adopted" bc like they're not his but he thinks of them as his kids) I wasn't even super fond of the idea of sophie and arata but that's a million times better than a literal child. He watched her grow up. He's like 20 years older than her. Why. I really enjoyed this in general but the thing with jibril made me just... Eugh...... Ik they didn't really do anything but the "next time" he said and the way he acted in the later chaps especially were just _(´ཀ`」 ∠) _ no thanks GOD I WISH IT DIDN'T HAVE THAT.
