Point 2, i think MC no need to search his family. His family is the one need to search him. From the start its his brother fault that MC end up like that

I can definitely relate to his laziness and it’s fun to see my laziness personified into a murim webtoon MC. The art is just mesmerizing. But the plot or maybe just the pacing or sequence, feels confusing and hard to appreciate. Did the webtoon cut out parts from the novel?
1) Honestly, if not for the art, it’s tough to stay engaged with the other characters. They show up and disappear before I can even appreciate them. It’s rare to see a loving family in these kinds of stories, but then they just became background board? Also, did they just introduced such a hot brother and then made him vanish before I could fully feast my eyes on him?
2) The master talks about regretting how he neglected his family for martial arts, but then he sends the MC to scholars instead of his family, who he hasn’t seen in 5 years. Also, why scholars? Did I miss something?
3) Yes, the MC is lazy and sloppy, but he hasn’t really done anything terrible. He paid the Beggars sect for their services, his words to the Hao sect leader’s daughter weren’t even 1/10 insulting compared to other MCs, and he does things when asked in the scholar’s home. So the other characters’ reactions feel exaggerated and even theatrical, which makes the story lose impact.
4) Why are there like 5 chapters of the MC playing Go in a martial arts novel? When did he even learn Go? It just feels like a forced plot tool to prove he’s not only strong but also smart, but him playing it for days feels out of character.
5) Did he even learn anything from the scholar or his stay there? What is the point of him going there?
6) I’m personally not a fan of court politics in martial arts stories, but even putting that aside, it was introduced way too suddenly. The MC just moves from one place to another without any world-building or background, and suddenly—bam—court politics and enemies appear out of nowhere.
