I usually prefer when the villain is stopped in their plans. When the villain is setup to commit a crime it doesn't feel all that rewarding when they're caught.
Yeah or they could have told it in a grand reveal way instead of us already knowing what's happening. If it showed Astana plotting then it turned out at the end Perez was in control, it'll be greater pay-off
