There really are men out there who want to be dominated by women and who enjoy acting ‘pathetic’ in the bedroom, so in that sense the author didn’t get it totally wrong. The problem is the way it’s shown here, a lot of those scenes lacked clear consent, which makes it feel more abusive than kinky. That’s what makes it icky, not the idea of men liking submission itself.

I just can’t understand how characters who act so trashy still end up finding "love". Like, how does anyone fall for them knowing their personality and that they’d sleep with anyone with a pulse?
Characters like Duna and Cha Woo....(whatever his name) don't deserve "love".
