Hi, I'm actually one of those ppl hating sol for seeing Ian as Brian because i saw how hurt Ian is and how he is being insecure about the past him. Seeing your comment gives a new perspective and finally accepting that Ian and Brian is actually one and that Sol actually loves them (Ian and Brian) as one. So, Thank you for this.
the flashback arc literally explained how the dragon knight's rebirth works. one soul, one heart, one mind. and thats how sol sees him too. he loved him as brian then, and he loves him as ian now, bc both are the same person. if he were to be reborn for a 3rd time, sol would love him as that person too, bc theyre all one and the same even if their bodies are different. the only reason ian and brian feel like two different individuals to some readers atm is bc ian has yet to regain his memories of his first life. it kinda hurts seeing people interpret sol's love as him "mistaking" ian for brian, when the beauty of sol's love is that it's timeless and neverending :( the immortal sol will always love the soul and existence of his human dragon knight, even if this knight were to die and be reborn countless times, and even if sol had to wait a thousand years in between his rebirths
