I read it again and I can see how it can be confusing. The first panel shows the mc being in pain after getting hit and narrating about how in pain he is before waking up after giving birth, he mentions his memories as a seperate thing too, saying "According to this body's memories" not recognizing those memories as his own. That he still remembers his memories from his past life. I guess we're both kinda correct?
