I think the core issue was that Henry and Victor had fundamentally different perspectives on their relationship, which ultimately led Victor to kill him.
If the story had broken Victor down into three parts, their roles would have contrasted sharply with Henry's. Victor’s heart wouldn’t have loved Henry, but his head and his wiener would have been obsessed with him.
While Henry genuinely loved Victor but his mind was guiding him not to, Victor was consumed by physical obsession rather than true emotional connection.
