I used to try to keep going, but many times I would just end up giving up, so I realized that it’s just a waste of time and a type of self torture because I’d get increasingly frustrated and annoyed, so… yeah… not anymore. Plus, even if I did finish a story, many times I wouldn’t feel it was worth it in the end. Once I even regretted reading the story so much because it was so bad I felt I wasted my time and brain cells.
Recently I’ve come to an awful realization. It’s that the older and the more I read, the pickier I become. I hate it because it’s so difficult for me to find stuff to read because of how picky I’ve become. I get annoyed so easily and I drop so many stories because of it. And I guess it doesn’t help that I’m a binge reader, so I let stories marinate and read over 100 chapters at a time, so it makes it easier to get annoyed if the story has certain tendencies. *sighs*
