As big of a nuisance and genuine problem Diana was, I don’t think this chapter was a waste and I don’t think that the little girl wishing for her to have an ordinary good life is anything bad. Diana didn’t kill anyone even if she wanted to, and despite her fucked up borderline psychopathic mindset it’s been 7 years in the manhwa’s storyline. Expecting bad people to stay bad forever isn’t the right way to go about things. I didn’t take the soap and hospital thing at her not wanting it for the commoners, obviously she still harbors a dislike for Hestia but in the last panel she seems to give in to her feelings of guilt.
Does this redeem her? No not at all. She’ll spend the rest of her life working to be a better person for her actions. But I don’t mind her getting a quiet ending, and maybe that kid and others around her can push her back into being a kind person or at least learning kindness again.
