However, clearly, Sumire is financially independent enough to live without a man, so seeking a financially secure man is not necessarily important in that case. Although there is real love between her and Momo, I wonder if Momo will become a more reliable guy for Sumire (like not depending on her for a bus fare...). At the end of the day, who you spend your life with has to be someone who makes you feel safe, that is why values such as loyalty, financial security are so highly esteemed. But emotional safety is also another factor which predicts long lasting relationships...
