yepp not a lot of bls really go about it like this, usually they make the characters kinda ignorant towards homophobia and they don’t have the characters really think about what it means to be gay and how their life will be different, love this author!!
I actually like the way they're handling this. Queer relationships come with extra nuance that should be explored. It's not all smiles and rainbows and both the Mc and ml are in some shape or form in the public eye or intend to be in the public eye. I think they'll eventually go public with their relationship but thats something they should do after discussing their feelings and the potentially good and bad outcomes that will come with it just so they're prepared. Hopefully they can communicate well about their feelings and not hide any negative emotions and let them fester (looking at you that one story with the ex gymnast and basketball player)
