Sometimes I can't even tell who is speaking because the translator keeps mixing up the I and you pronouns
In Korean, pronouns work differently than in English. A lot of times people don’t use “I” the way we do. They’ll use their name, title, or even roundabout phrasing instead.
Some amateur translators try to reflect that directly but end up replacing it with “he” or “she” instead of just writing “I.” So when you see “he/she or you” in the translation while the character is clearly talking about themselves or someone else, it’s not the character misspeaking, it’s the translator not smoothing it into natural English.
A proper translation would just use “I,” but not every fan translation is polished, so sometimes you get clunky or awkward English like that.
