I mean.. if he goes and searches and God forbid finds that house taekyung will be put in a place where he either has to choose Hee soo or the lawyer (tbh I don't remember his name) .. well for suppose we think taekyung is "faking" his feelings towards heesoo to let him drop his walls to escape, if he tries to flee with lawyer he'll be back at square one with chains and bindings and no way out or ever gaining heesoo trust again. And lawyer will be killed... orrrrr if everything unfolds and the mother is exposed as mastermind.. what will happen to the lawyer??
