yall dont get what dark romance is... it will always be toxic. Thats the pull of it. Trying to "fix" the yandere is the lamest shit ever and I hate when authors do that. They should be trash from beginning to end. Go read some fluff story then if you hate yanderes
I like this manhwa but its not dark romance at all its like a comedy with angst sprinkled in
Lemme just say, I absolutely hate the obsessive yandere trope and rarely ever end up finishing any story that has one, especially if it’s a romance story because I believe some people are simply irredeemable. But I have to say, this story is EXACTLY how an author should handle a yandere character. How should I say it…it’s toxic, yes, but they make it clear it is without overly romanticizing it. And what’s most important, the yandere character actually does get proper development WITHOUT losing all of their obsessiveness. It’s the way the author clearly sets down all boundaries and makes it so both parties truly understand each other that makes this toxic relationship become NOT toxic.
Is the ML still a black flag? Oh absolutely. Were the things he did horrible? Definitely. But despite how twisted his love was, there was purity and sincerity hidden in there. And I think that’s why I felt completely okay with the MC ending with the ML in the end, also because the MC truly does understand the ML and holds him accountable for the bullshit he did. Honestly, this is what a dark romance story should be like. 10/10.
