as someone with neurological problems i get why MC be acting weird around his sister. when shit goes wrong in your brain it effects everything about you. your brain controls every aspect of your body but also the way you perceive the world, so it can make u act really weird. like mans got brain cancer, that doesn’t just make u sick or make you die, it changes the way you behave, the way you fundamentally feel emotions. your brain is so complicated that the tiniest influences on it (like hormones or fuckinf tumours) can fuck the whole thing up. it’s entirety possible that his brain disease has just picked his sister as a target making him express all this homophobia (even tho he be doing gay shit) and have it feel normal. tbh i think the most inaccurate thing is that he isn’t more ill, like if he had the amount of tumours they showed on the mri he’d be dead or at least extremely ill. also i don’t think he’s acting this way to make his death easier for his sister. i think it’s either just the brain disease or him using her as an outlet for his negative emotions as he figures out his sexuality whilst under the influence of way too many brain tumours.
