I believe they’re saying that people are demonizing the bottom bc they’re receiving. Yk like receiving is seen as a feminine thing ig, and typically women receive in hetero dynamics.
The best way for me to explain it is that ppl don’t fw the bottom bc it deters from how a woman is expected to behave; while there’s a double standard for the top bc they view him as an “actual man”. Since straight women love yaoi it’s not that surprising that they would be projecting a hetero dynamic or internalized misogyny onto the couple.
With that being said, I’ve seen a lot of toxic yaoi being hyped up and most of the popular ones r with a toxic seme instead of a toxic bottom.

So many negative comments, but I don't care. I loved this story. Not everything has to be wholesome yaoi. I'm bored with that. This story attracted me because of its power bottom, and I'm grateful that it stayed that way until the end. The top is very pretty.
