I swear there were multiple parts to this that felt like it would end. But it continued in the same cycle every time. Filming someone dying, they die, then the confusion and conflict of life (do I continue living or not) then almost a reason to continue plays on in an endless cycle. I cried.
Filming and showing someone what you filmed almost maybe represents even how social media you never see the full picture of someone. The mum at first was sweet loved and lost then later revealed (what was never shown) that she was actually awful and abusive. We followed his story with her through the eyes of his film the whole time… it wasn’t till their friend mentioned what she was really like (not included in the film). There was thanks for it to almost forget the negative and think positive.
The first time he added the explosion I thought he actually blew it up then it was a post production add on to his film. Later He finally found what was missing after his whole life which was the explosion. It was almost a very open ending maybe the cycle would continue until he dies. Maybe the explosion was his way of getting rid of what burdened him. His mum abused him and his own relief was him exploding the building in his own control. He controlled that. Then he went through life and he loved and lost still not fully knowing what was missing then when it all almost ended again he met her again she was alive. For me id be angry, yes she’s alive but also not alive and it makes you question everything you have done.
Maybe we just read his movie, in the final they where never in the same shots together, maybe she wasn’t a vampire fr and it was her character he edited his later life with clips of her acting. He said goodbye in film. The one shot entirely was his film.
Idk a bit of a ramble and so much to think about but all and all a 10/10 read. Would love other opinions as well
