Like, she knows how he treats Sylhan, yet she's ready to marry them off just so Sylhan can be enslaved, yet again, by that tyrant. I don't think it's about Sylhan losing the slave status or helping him, but rather, controlling him. She doesn't want Sylhan to recollect his memories of wanting to build the bridge, probably even of his ambitions as a former lord... Maybe because whatever he was planning wasn't in favor of her own house. Whatever it is, as much as she seemed to respect and help the MC, she's not trustworthy... Politics are ugly like that.
The dynamic between Sylhan and Gjord is haaaaawttt, a bad boy strong knight who fought his way to the top just to serve the love of his life and avenge him after he's been betrayed... I'm sure his mania was inflicted, the question is who and why. I'm sure Sylhan was a lord others despised because of his intellect, ambition, and probably strive to conquer, so he has many enemies. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Lysbeth herself lol, but it might not be as obvious.
