MC will be assigned as ML's exclusive guide next. I forgot the next events but Aaron (another S rank guide) will appear soon. Aaron fell in love with ML. Aaron is also quite spoiled coming from a family full of S-ranks. One of the guiding professors who jealous of MC recruits Aaron to have a sort of collaboration with the school. During one of dungeon trainings, Aaron wants to show off and make MC look bad. But please note that Aaron is incompetent as a guide as he has no experience and Aaron is also addicted to a drug that affects mana which is a big no-no for guides. During the "competition" Aaron guides one of the seniors and because he recently took a drug (I think the name of the drug was Dust? which is dervied from a Flame flower) he caused an allergic reaction to the senior. Good thing MC has a lot of guiding experience and immediately helped with the first-aid. But remember in C14 that MC was told that he needs at least a year to stabilise his mana? Well, he exhausted his mana again and fell into a coma again. During this time, Aaron's side let out a smear campagin against MC. From someone who has a great reputation nationwide, they smeared his reputation to the ground. ML insulated MC in the hospital preventing him from finding out about the smear campaign. And in the end, ML pulled some string and exposed Aaron's wrong doings.
And then, all this time MC was trying to make ML break up with him by acting stupid etc.
Then, background story, ML's father loved ML's mother but ML's mother doesn't love ML's father. ML's mother has a lover and she got pregnant. ML's mother's lover left her when he found she was pregnant and she died during childbirth. Everyone thought ML's real father is the lover but no, it is the ML's father. ML's father also thought that ML is his wife's illegitimate child which made him angry. He adopted his dead brother's children (2 boys). By the way, background on those 2 adopted sons. The eldest son is non-awakened but he is smart and manipulative. The second son is awakened but only D-level and he is really stupid and arrogant. And those 2 boys bullied ML. And ML's father neglected ML which led to ML being abused by everyone. He was shipped off to a private island and was abused by the employees! He didn't even learn to read until he is 12 or 13!
ML only got back to SK when he awakened as S-rank. He was still being treated poorly but way better than before. And then, this is the part where MC is being introduced as ML's guide. ML actually fell in love with MC at first sight. He acted rudely but that's just him being a tsundere. Plus he doesn't know how to act nicely as he was being treated rudely all his life! During negotiations, MC told ML's father that ML is his son. Which made ML's father doubt that the previous DNA test he requested was falsified. They retook the test and he discovered that ML is really his son. When MC declined to be ML's guide, he told ML or was it ML's father that what ML needs right now is a guide with a lot of experience as sadly he is still lacking.
Back to the main story, I think the next plot line is the "kidnapping"... I'll type this tomorrow. Sorry!

Remember in C14, ML said that MC is gonna regret this? He means that he has already decided to stay away from the MC as he thinks he bring bad luck or something to MC but because MC gave him the candy, it dissolved his resolve to stay away from MC. Also, ML has imprinted (one-sidedly) to MC that's why his matching rate to all guides dropped really low.
