i think ryan by far the most flawed and complex character in this series. his story was told in different orders that threw a lot of many people off but in the end, he was a sefless man after all. you might not agree but remember, creating the solution was to give the half breeds a chance at having an advantage, helping lucaon out of his own merit, sparing Christopher, etc. he's almost cruel but he was also a person who faced so much. he lived for so long, too long and he eventually let go. he wasnt someone who flew too close to the sun rather he didnt get close enough. i sympathize with ryan a lot, his coldness and distance was very much reasonable. MIND ALL OF YOU, HE DOESNT KNOW KYON. he acted harsh because he (KYON) put his (honorary) son at risk after saving him from critical corruption years ago, sihan and lucaon were his kids he reasonably didnt need to gaf about outsiders. i wont blame kyon for anything but you have to realize that in the end, ryan was very much reasonable, hes not a villain, hes just a man thats been holding so much stuff in until the very end. give bro a rest
