To add to all of the magnificent pointers people have already done in the comments below about what makes this piece so refreshing, my favorite parts is the fact that she’s didn’t get like super duper magical powers despite being a commoner.
I’ll explain: while having magic is great in this universe, it’s similar to how you encounter people who have a great singing voice or run really fast in our universe - in the sense that there’s a women factor and were amazed by their skills, but it’s not unusual and it’s normal to see it. Many times in these “I’m the real/fake daughter” type of stories they’d still give mc a legendary buff to add to the “check my revenge” factor. And I mean, it’s cool, I enjoy it, so I’m not bashing it. But it’s really nice how this story says “yeah, she doesn’t have super rare healing magic, just regular magic, but she should be treated just as nicely because she’s a human being. Not just because she could be a hero”.
