I applaud those people who can read manga/hwa after reading a novels. I'll get bored to reread the same story as I can't help but compare it, I can reread the story of the same format but definitely not a different one. I can't help but hate how they damage my imagination (Novel to Manga). Once I read it I cannot watch it as well (manga/novel to adaptation). As much as I would like to read the novel it means that I will need to give up the manga/hwa

Same! I have this exact problem. I read far into the novels for 2 awesome manwhas and now I can’t read them anymore. And I wish I never read the novels anyway because I don’t have the patience to complete the actual novels. I struggle with the translations and gave up. So now in the predicament of not being able to read the novels or the manwhas. I curse myself

Same. Specially how different you imagine stuff. I prefer the novel so much more here tho.

I FEEL YOUU!! i've never actually seen someone who has the same thoughts as me since my friends love adaptations T^T

I stopped reading the manhwa of "The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly" because I continued the story in the novel so now, the manhwa feels uninteresting compared to what I imagined the scenes would look like.

idk why im so stubborn with that, I haven't read a single manhwa/hua adaptation of stories in which I read the novel first, like Little Mushroom and Heaven's official blessing. So I'm missing out on A LOTT, if they improved a specific scene or not

In my case, I read to novel a few years ago. At that time there was only a manhwa adaption of Kiss me liar. I think I'm less invested in the manhwa adaption than if I hadn't read the novel, but there are still a few scenes I wanted to see drawn and how some characters are drawn in the new art. I'm still waiting for Dane to appear in the new art.
It's a more interesting question if the novel and the manhwa adaption exist at the same time, there you have a choice. In that case it's better to read the manhwa adaption first, because adaptions tend to leave out parts/details of the novel, or at least read both at the same time, chapter by chapter.
The problem here is that the manhwa adaption left out some things that are important for the world building, so some things are confusing. I see that when I read the comments. It would have been better if they made an introduction page at the beginning for the secondary genders etc. if they leave out thing releated to that.
And another thing was the long hiatus, so because of that I think more read the novel than without the hiatus.

I'm reading the manhwa because the manhwa has an official translation. The novel is poorly translated for Vol 3, so I'm hoping the manhwa does a better job. While reading the novel was manageable, I had to keep rereading paragraphs bc I had no idea who was talking due to mixed up pronouns or names.
