I think the general artstyle and humour are similar, although it's more absurdist in nature ig. The author also made a oneshot that iirc has the dynamic you're looking for.
Any recs similar to the vibe of Yama Wayama's work? I really enjoyed 'Let's Go Karaoke!' and 'Hoshi's Garden of Girls' as well as her other manga, especially the subtle humor and the trope(?) of 'serious guy' interactions with 'playful guy'!!
