I stopped reading this because it was so frustrating... I don't mind when a MC acts very passive as a victim, that's normal victim behavior and it's okay. I hate when an MC acts like they are some sort of badass, like they're going to do something about the abuse, but then act like a passive victim anyways. One or the other, you have to pick one or the other.
