Happy birthday was surprisingly different from what I expected, in a good way.
I also started reading "where the dragon's rain falls" and I am enjoying it as well.
This is still a superior work in my opinion. But everything from this author reads so well.

I love how this manhwa caries that 'calm before the storm' kind of vibe all the time, like there is impending doom and we are aware of it but that doesn't mean we will abandon the basic notion of everyday life. The little actions, the tons of conversations, eating, sleeping, falling in love again, being scared and acknowledging it, the almost bizzare slowness of it all. The pacing of the story and the artistic choices are just fabulous.
Every week I kind of dread reading the new chapter (I love it though) because I just know that there are no unrealistic solutions randomly saving the day. The doom is very much real, ominous, and without a quick fix, if any at all. It feels very real, very relatable but for the death curse and a possessive snake diety.
