It did not take him a minute to abandon the person who was there with him all along. Dude imagine your partner leaving you the second they realise their ex is willing to take them back. That shit would hurt like hell. Ik it is not exactly the same situation. But more or less, yes.
He didnt leave him because he was rushing to go back to nephyths. He left because after all the painstaking effort it took for him to finally open up and love someome he's told that the persons love is fake and illusioned due to a mirror. Despite acting tough seth is a heavily emotion influenced person and thinking that horus never loved him and only did because he looked into mirror n saw seth in it literally came down heavily on seth. To the point where he wanted to escape n clung to the familiarity of nostalgia and seek security from his past relationship where he knows he wont be let down or no more magic is involved. He wasnt even that mad that horus hid stuff from him but the lies abt horus fake love came more like a shock than the fact abt neph not cheating. He kept saying they should talk this out n hes willing to overlook things but poor horus misunderstood n rushed things in his immaturity n insecurities. Seth n nephyths never got have a proper farewell nor the last talk n theres like quagmire of misunderstandings and wrongs between them that needs to be sorted before either of them move on in life. Seth isnt running away because he 'rekindled his old love' its because hes desperately clambering to clung to the affection he thinks is still there. How would u feel if one were to come n tell u that your lover doesnt love u truly n is befuddled by illusion? Seth has deep self loathing n his soul is fractured due to all the doubts and reality altering trauma n lies osiris had pumped into him. He thinks of himself as the worst who cant be loved by anyone osiris made him think even his wife woild rather choose someone else than him. Ofc that trauma is gonna play a role here as well. He kept mumbling "theres no way anyone would love someone like him" n fell easily for hathors lies. He's deeply hurt n he acted out. Horus did the same. Theyre both wrong here in their own ways but really its all tragic n pitiful misunderstandings between them
I really want seth to regret what he did. I want seth to pine after horus. I feel so bad for horus. He did so much for him. Also, why was seth telling horus to end things properly with hathor when he had no intentions to end things properly with nephthis. Aahhh. At this point, I just wish horus becomes a God and forgets about seth.
