Personally, I actually liked the story. Sure, their relationship is toxic, but I liked that the MC's mental state wasn't magically "healed" just bc ML reappeared. Even by the end, we only got a glimpse of him starting to improve, which felt more realistic. I also liked how ML just needed to hear MC's feelings and how others talk about him to begin understanding. Does this make his behavior acceptable? No, of course not. But it really highlights how important communication is and how stupid people can act.
Would I rate this a 10/10? Also not, but the current rating of 7,7 feels unjustified to me. Well, maybe I'm just used to fast paced short stories, but I liked the emotional depth and complexity that were portrayed.
I do wonder about the art style tho... The coloring partially looked like an elementary kid did it. (￣∇￣")
