For all my confused people. Basically what’s going on is there is a purge of human cultivators wiping out nonhuman clans. Which are being referred to as “demons”. These old demon clans put in place barriers for their protection and to prevent themselves “degrading” into their demon forms. Which will result in them being murdered by the imperial courts since a manhunt for demons is going on. Not much context is being given so far why these demon clans are using their powers and talents for entertainment and why they fear the imperial court but ig we will find out later.
