I think that this is not fully on clairvoyance spells like serie believe, but a prediction from the future, the great demon from the past got something from frieren when she goes back in time using the goddess magic, in which she was put under illusion together with himmel, in chapter 118 after great demon solitar save that great demon he mention that he got "Something" from frieren while she was under his spell, in which the story did not further elaborate.
This connects the reason why Solitar the so called nameless demon who was very cowardly and lived in hiding shows up all of the sudden to free the other demon just to die in the end, i think her death is not unexpected but a sacrifice, so what ever that great demon got from frieren is likely worthy of her sacrifice.
I might be wrong here due to lack of proofs but if that demon got his hands of frieren's memory even just a tiny parts, they could use it to change the future outcome like this empire event.
