GUYSSSS

I wanna say something, maybe its old news or something but IT FREAKING BLEW MY MINISCULE MIND TO PIECES. Σ(っ°Д °;)っ

I guess what I found out from my sister reading a fanfic based off this. So, like remember how the ring of gluttony that iruma wears is supposed to be just a regular ring of myth or something. That before in the past there was no mention of any sentient beings like ali-san inside it. So right hear me out, ali-sans full name is "ALIKRED" right.... so reverse that and you get "DERKILA". Cuz if ali-san was just a being or spirit that spawned out of nowhere how would he know the demon world and how magic works so well enough to guide iruma through its uses.

So putting my theory in place here, what if ali-san is the missing demon King's like consciousness/mind if you will, and, yes the ring of gluttony is just a regular ring but only reveals its true nature as the "Ring of Solomon" when certain conditions are met in the future by iruma.

We all know that iruma is human and most things don't work the same way it does for humans as it does for demons throughout the whole series which they continuously imply, the ring of gluttony and ring of solomon are 1 in the same thing but when worn by a human or a demon changes its form, you know to hide itself only to be used/found by the right person.

Plus when you dig deeper into the name "solomon" it technically relates back to the word gluttony because of the solomons seven deadly sins which in this case gluttony is one of them. To add on, in the bible there is a particular figure in the book of proverbs who happens to also very much warn others to beware of gluttony.

So like at this point you may possibly still think its all a coincidence. But I think not because everything lines up so perfectly with one another!!! ヾ(☆▽☆)

And like one of the most basic things in Japanese manga is that when a character tries to take on a different alias to hide their identity the most common troupe would be to literally reverse their name backwards if it makes sense or tweak the alias to something similar sounding to their actual name. Which matches with Ali-san here. Cuz if he really was just a random spirit that was created out of nothing in the ring, he wouldn't have opinions, own consciousness mind let alone a name, in fact the actual way to go about it would be to infer that the person wearing the ring is their master, ask the individual what they themselves are/vaguely know/not know and ask the master to bestow upon them a name. More often than not the individual with the ring is supposed to be able to fully control the spirit or in a sense too share telekinesis since they would be bound together. But iruma doesn't have full control over ali-san nor seem to have a master servant relationship with ali-san, and pops up whenever he please instead of when iruma summons him.

Notice how ali-san gained a sense of where he is and even tells iruma that he shouldn't be seen by others, not that he CAN'T be seen by others and hides when in close proximity to other demons. Is also, possibly because apart from the classmates who ifnthey found out might find it interesting and report to others, alerting higher-ups blah blah blah, iruma is typically surrounded by a lot of big names like sullivan, or mephisto let alone others he bumped into that would possibly recognise derkila despite not being in his proper form.

Okok trust im almost done with this theory, a bit more to go....(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

When you look at flashbacks from the subordinates of derkila and their memories of how he acts and behaves is very similar to how ali-san conducts himself too, he is not particularly crude in his language but does carry a certain regal elegance in his speech, not to mention both tend to particularly enjoy when something interesting happens and enjoys the show, because usually derkila was seen being bored from a peaceful life and supposedly implied that he went missing from either unknown/unforeseen implications or well got sick and tired of everything being so boring and ran away from his duties.

So all in all, something happened along the way whether purposely or not derkila somehow ended up inhibiting the ring and his soul was inside in a slumber until iruma wore it. And one thing i noticed was that they never really revealed more on the ring of gluttony, as all they mentioned was it is a artifact/relic indeed but they didn't reveal when it came into existence, how it was made aka its full potential or like who was its previous users, all artifacts usually have a hidden quirk that most don't know about and maybe someone or derkila used it to get inside. Giving brief descriptions of items or characters usually leads to a plot reveal in the future that the ring/person holds a greater purpose or has a hidden skill only certain people know of, since they didn't give a full explanation when the ring of gluttony was first introduced in the story. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

Ok im done cooking, knock yourselves out and tell me whether it makes sense. Thank you for reading all the way to the end of my moment of epiphany in the early hours of the morning when im supposed to be asleep. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I just love this manga and how well constructed the story and world-building is, while ensuring that we are getting put on a journey when reading it. Its been a while since I've been this invested in a specific manga and look forward to it without being let down by each arc and leaving me constantly anticipating what's to happen next in each chapter! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
