Honestly this is 1 of the manhwa that I hope or it's just better even without the romance. I just love how mc really care for all of them like a good father/mother and knowing that mc love interest is one of his child is actually hard breaking to me. Ik the romance doesn't start yet and it's a loooong slow burn like any wuxia bl, but doesn't change the fact it's still icky. Aside from the potential romance I love everything about the story, the found family really heals my heart. Just my theory but I think the og soul is still there and l Iove how he suddenly intervene to never associate with that house. It makes me think that og soul actually cares about the child but doesn't know how to. If you're familiar with wuxia story, if you follow certain teaching like in og soul case poison they can actually take away some of your senses n I think for og soul is emotion. Maybe bcs he follows the teaching of making poison taking away his emotions maybe benefit him when using the posion on other people to take away the feeling of "pity" for them
