I think the mom and dad in this chapter are the woman who raised him and her husband, not the birth parents. It was a small table and just the four of them, no servants like the Lu's would have. And it looked like the mom was still not completely well, she was kind of laying down and covered when they came in. Also the older brother wasn't there, and he would have been if it was the Lu house.
NONE of them are likeable ofc the bro is the worst. they're just like this cuz they found out he's their son bet they wouldn't be like this if he wasnt
