ML has lived this life for the 49th time. He is a regressor. In all past timelines, he and fl got married and became happy. However, fl died in all timelines and in order to go back to 10 years in the past to prevent her death, he k!lls himself by jumping off a building (This is where him and the fl fiance got connected). It's not like he didn't like the fl that's why he rejected her. In fact, he had always worried about her and drops everything in a heartbeat just to go to her and fl knows this. It wasn't explicitly stated why he keeps on rejecting her, maybe it's just his personality or maybe a tsundere. But, the 10 year jump to the past doesn't include the rejections. So, even if they were happily married in all timelines and he got sent back to the past 10 years ago, he can't stop the numerous rejections as it all happened before the 10 years. Over all, he really wasn't that bad. He's got some issues but it was with reason. Sorry I'm not good at explaining things. I suggest u read it to understand what I'm saying better. Happy reading!
