no like after reading too many unrequited love and experiencing it myself, i learned something. Most of the time we have a crush on someone we know, we always see them with heart-shaped glasses and mistook everything the other person does was flirting. We forget that they could be nice to us as a friend or someone they simply adore. (of course, there are many cases of leading on as well). In this story, we only saw Hyunjin 's pov as someone who constantly fall in love again and again with his crush but we totally forgot about Jeongwoo's platonic love for Hyunjin. Jeongwoo treated Hyunjin as a younger brother, he never lead him on. He was a coward for not confronting Hyunjin about it but hey, don't we act like we don't know when our friend starts flirting with us? He was just simply afriad to lose his friend.

i understand this on a spiritual level and i really like the way you worded it bc most of the time that's exactly how it feels an unrequited love

Yeah, I didn't like Jeongwoo at the beginning but now, reading it in English and not with my subpar Korean, I still feel he should've said something but also understand him not wanting to lose a friend. Maybe in the next season we'll see what he's referring to when he mentions that he doesn't want any more people disappearing from his life, although most of the next season is still about Hyunjin and Chanyoung

I've done that so many times I can't judge him. I pretend not to know until they understand it's fruitless. What else can I do? Say "Hey I know you like me but I don't like you back" sound so arrogant no way
