I don't think the game restarts exactly when Bada dies. There was an episode where Bada dies sacrificing himself to help the others, and when he talks to Doha, he said he died not much later. About the cousin remembering, unless he saves the data of that run, he won't remember what happened, so no, he doesn't remember.

Doha keeps killing the cousin first right? Does the cousin remember that (i believe yes … so he’d be trying to run away every time the game restarts?)
Also the game restarts whenever bada dies - so I doubt he’s „just“ an NPC … isn’t he like the main character already O_O
I need to reread. I love this so much but my brain can’t keep up with the breaks each chapter haha
