i read the novel chapters everyweek and this new chap made me so confused but tbh ive had this question since the beginning

does mc just stay in the book the entire time? cus once the book ends with the actual couple is he not sent back to his world? only asking as the novel ends in like 3 chapters but this chap he's been like sent back to his world so now im so confused cus dojoon is endgame?? does he just move on with his life or find a way to get back into the book??
