i don’t like to comment but i genuinely feel like i need to write my thoughts about this series. because this series made me sad. it felt like it had potential but definitely got rushed, and yeonho’s growth was nonexistent. despite that, i ended up loving him and i kind of like that he was so… resigned? not every character has to break out of their mindset. it felt realistic for someone who was abused/neglected/unloved for his whole life, not to mention his feelings about his status, and his literal job as a servant. i felt so sad for him the entire time and he’s what kept me reading.
that being said i felt kind of whatever towards the ML. the dad was hot unfortunately, and yeonho had a more interesting story with him. i wish we could have seen more of the dad’s feelings? like why was he such a piece of shit, yes yeonho had a debt but also why was he attracted to him in the first place? there could have been more of a backstory, he just served to be a villain. and the ML having a crush on his servant and coming back felt so cliche. while he tried to not be like his father, i don’t feel like he was always that kind to yeonho. he should have been warmer and more reassuring to comfort yeonho, and maybe yeonho would have trusted him more. more communication always.
this series felt like the blueprint/stepping stone to body complex. i liked the art and get overly attached to a pretty uke with low self-worth. in my problematic opinion… i wish we had more of these love triangles but i want the toxic dad to win for one because while i loved body complex and the couple there i thought the dad scenes were hotter…and the dad scenes were hotter here….so give us a dad that’ll treat a younger cute uke twink right but still be mean to him in bed. thanks
