In reality being a theater actor would be one of the most accepting group of people there is, alot of LGBT are especially theater actors. But this is not written by an American author, so they have it wrong. Even if not just a theater actor just being an actor in general, like you said the other openly gay one I know is John Glover who played Lional Luthor on Smallville

what country is this set in again? bc being an openly gay actor in hollywood isn't really career ending anymore. like yeah there's still a bunch of discrimination :( but he could still have a great acting career like Jim parson, Johnathan bailey, Ian mcKellen, Wentworth miller, neil patrick harris, etc. The real problem for his career is that ugly nepo baby.
