I don't think the MC is feeling guilty about that. It seems like he is conflicted about his own desires regarding MC and the ML is not forcing his hand (thank God, like rape culture is not entertaining). Also, I feel like ML's lowest point was his mum trying to kill him the second time (wild)? Or something relatedly traumatising his parents did to him...
I was thinking about his lowest point in the relationship but yeah, that makes more sense.
MC feeling guilty for denying ML sex is pretty funny considering ML severely bullied MC for his entire life and his lowest point was seeing MC actually living a decent life.
