Tbh I enjoy this story but unless Andrew's family is conservative and he still wants to keep ties with them or that Luke has some kinda trauma associated with being gay it's kind hard for me to believe that two WHITE, HOT, MEN dating is NOT going to be accepted in an urban city at a well known theater arts program which likely infers a thriving theater scene which is likely gonna be liberal asf in AMERICA even with the trump shit going on unless this was set in like 2012-14 which is when the Amazing Spiderman movies with Andrew a Garfield came out and the baby woke stage was just gaining ground. I think they'd recieve far more scrutiny for a possible cheating scandal with Luke's ex than them being gay. The bisexual bit would feel more like an afterthought than a main problem. And based on their personalities and theater ass friend group It feels highly unlikely they would care too much about the couple homophobes they would encounter occasionally unless of course again one of them has some kinda trauma associated with being discriminated against for being gay. Which I don't rlly remember happening. Someone please remind me of it did, and if it actually is set in the early 2010's. Rn being lgbtq in THEATER in AMERICA in 2025 is far too mainstream for me to find this believable even with all the trump shit. The whole political aspect in the USA is just too polarized rn but even then even Gays for trump exists. Like look at Jonathan Bailey and Matt bomer whose careers seem unaffected by being gay asf in reality. Look at how call me by your name launched Timmy C's career. It just feels unrealistic in the context of their environment.
