After rereading I think I know what Heart is up to. Victor wants to know if out of all of Henry's lovers, if he was loved the most. Heart is aware that he feels the way he does because he has Henry's heart, so in one of the chapters he also questions whether or not he'd feel that same affection toward Henry's other lovers. So I think he's been searching for the other lovers and meeting up with them to see how Henry actually felt, and whether he loved Victor the most or not.
Maybe Heart has been distant because he's angry that Henry DID love his other lovers, OR, he's angry at at the complete opposite scenario: that Henry slept with all of those people despite not loving them at all. Maybe Heart put the pieces together and realized that Henry was sleeping around with others to make Victor jealous.
Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but Dick is growing on me HAHA what can I say, I'm a sucker for character development.
